Spatial–Temporal Heterogeneity and the Related Influencing Factors of Tourism Efficiency in China

Tourism efficiency is an effective index of measuring the development quality tourism industry. In this study, 30 provinces in China during period from 2006 to 2018 was measured with SBM model and Malmquist index. On basis ESDA GWR models, we explored spatial pattern China’s heterogeneity influencing factors depth. The results revealed that has been constantly enhanced increasingly balanced pattern. Meanwhile, utilization degrees various input have improving. Both technological progress jointly promote rapid growth total-factor productivity. Accompanied constant enhancement agglomeration effect, local also showed obvious differentiation. general, low-efficiency regions were mainly concentrated northern China, while high-efficiency southern China. distinct spatial–temporal differentiation characteristics tourist economic can be attributed different strengths action tendencies. level development, traffic conditions, professional tourism, openness degree significantly efficiency. resource endowment environmental cost impose slight effects differ direction, thereby inhibiting many regions.
